this is a post for my love of food & leisure
our first food after landing ♥ still Italy – Sardegna [we flight to Olbia and used the ferry from Santa Theresa to Corsica/ Bonifacio]
and yes, those white pieces on the upper one are chunks of garlic ♥
our second dîner – during the sunset at the port of Bonifacio
figs – they were everywhere and it became my daily pleasure to snag some from the highest reachable branches of huge trees – fresh & juicy, sun bathed & warm, sometimes yellow sometimes violet – incredible yummy
dates ~ I had dates – a lot of them – in my life but I didn't try these [bad pun…^^;]
colourful little macarons ~ one of the Frenchs greatest inventions
my first time to see grenades on a tree (even if they were still green)
blackthorn/sloe (engl.) or prunelle (fr.) or Schlehe (dt.) – I saw gelée & liquer made out of this
I was really happy at this moment~ not (only) because we managed to find a beautiful camping area (see the tent in the back? that's ours) with a wide view over to the sea & the mountains… No! point being: at that moment I had sheep cheese, fresh bread & good wine from Corsica accompanied by a beautiful sunset
